How do I know if my water is clean and safe for drinking? This is a common question and in the water industry there’s a very simple way to know if your water is clean and free of contaminates.
A TDS meter indicates the total dissolves solids in water. It can pick up contaminates; such as, leads, metals, Chromium6, calcium, magnesium, arsenic and potassium.
The higher the number on your TDS reader, the more contaminates you have in your water. The scale is rated from 0 to 500.
500 being the most contaminated and dangerous to drink.
So, grab a glass of room temperature water and place the TDS digital meter in the water for 5 seconds or till you see the number stabilize.
